Yoga Classes

  • Fluid Flow

Fluid Flow classes are designed to pair breath seamlessly with vinyasa flow. Students will strengthen their connection to the energy of the breath, while increasing the complexity of their physical practice.

The instructor’s focus is on creative sequencing that continuously builds, while maintaining the breath as the initiator of the flow. Verbal cues may be less focused on structural form, and more on elevation of breath, rhythm, and learning how to achieve physical/mental/spiritual alignment through correct breathing.

This class is appropriate for those with prior yoga experience. We do not recommend this class to new students . Please inform your instructor of any limitations/injuries.

  • All Levels Flow

Just like it sounds! A flow style practice that truly meets each student where they are. For beginners: you will be challenged learning a new form of movement, but do not let that deter you. Discomfort leads to breakthrough discoveries from many perspectives: endurance, flexibility, resilience and the ability to find a flow state. At Cocoon we are here to support your process!

Time is taken to instruct alignment of poses along with  breath and concentration practice. For those with more yoga experience, class offers levels of advancement in a way that is encouraging, intriguing and well instructed. Enjoy the supportive community of Cocoon no matter where you're at in your exploration.

  • Honey Flow +

Just like it sounds. Move like honey, and receive the nectar of your practice.

This class is a slow, sultry, slinky sister to Fluid Flow. Increase sensitivity around your practice and how it feels  by decreasing attachment to what it looks like. Don't let the name fool you though. Honey+ allows for progression into more physically dynamic poses as well as encouraging you to step back when your body asks for it.

It's all centered in the mindful, non-dogmatic desire of your body-mind-heart connection. Highly recommended for power addicts. Come taste the sweeter side. This class is appropriate for all levels, yet, we do recommend if you have never taken class before to arrive early so your teacher can go over some basic principles .

  • Honey Flow and Chill

The perfect blend of a gooey honey flow to nourish the body, blended with restorative/yin, sound healing, and guided rest/yoga nidra.  Each teacher and class has their unique style but the sweet with the sweet stays.

  • Warm House Flowww

Warm House Flow is a sweaty, playful, invigorating practice bringing the VIBES!!! Inclusion, self-exploration, release are the heart of House music a genre with roots in disco, funk, jazz, hip-hop, electronic music, and more.

Breathe with the Beat and move to a Fluid Flow style sequence including lots of variations to give your inner kiddo space to come out and play... and your soul to shake it loose!!!!

  • Warm Power Flow

Rooted in the sequence style of Ashtanga and Baptiste yoga, Warm Power Flow  follows the same methodical structure of : warm-up, Sun A, Sun B, core strengthening, and deliberate standing sequences that lead to peak poses to prime you for seated series/backbends and finally.... shavasana.

If that makes no sense...that's ok! You will have opportunity to flow, strengthen and build flexibility in a tried and true sequence that touches everywhere while increasing the muscles of respiration and concentration. The room is infrared heated around 90 and can get quite humid to increase the challenge on focus, stamina, and cleansing.

This class is appropriate for those with some prior flow practice and willingness to learn.

  • Yoga 101

Yoga simplified is alignment of body, breath, intelligence and awareness. Whether you are brand-spankin’ new to yoga or a long-time practitioner, to show up is the only way to start or return! Class delivers clear instruction on: why yoga?, how to breathe most effectively and of course how to move your body in a way that will build both strength/flexibility and discernment/intuition.

You will have time to explore your practice, what works for you and how to trust your body. This class is recommended to all levels whether you need to get started or re-discover!

  • Warm Fluid Flow

Warm Fluid Flow classes are designed to pair breath seamlessly with vinyasa flow. Students will strengthen their connection to the energy of the breath, while increasing the complexity of their physical practice.

The instructor’s focus is on creative sequencing that continuously builds, while maintaining the breath as the initiator of the flow. Verbal cues may be less focused on structural form, and more on elevation of breath, rhythm, and learning how to achieve alignment through correct breathing.

Warm classes are heated with infrared panels to around 90 degrees. This class is appropriate for those with some prior yoga experience. We do not recommend this class to new yoga students . Please inform your instructor of any limitations/injuries.

  • Soulful Sunday Service

If you know, you know. Come together each Sunday for a balanced vinyasa practice infused with various yogic techniques to create space for soulful connection. Class is themed to delve deeper into the vast array of yogic philosophy, and explore other aspects of practice through satsang (discussion/setting intent)  mantra, chanting, and sound healing.

This is an all levels class, just know we are getting weird. And you might cry. Mostly happy tears. And your neighbor will probably talk to you...and you might just make a new best friend. We do ask for grace around timing in this class. While it technically ends at 12:15 class often runs over and we make no apologies for that.  Again…if you know you know. So go with the flow.

  • Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing

Need a nap? Or a reset from stress (aka, life)?

Yoga Nidra is purposeful guided rest with an intention to drop you into that sweet space where the mind can quiet and your whole being can decompress. Class includes sound bowls to incite the parasympathetic (rest and digest) side of your nervous system, increase happy hormones, and decrease stress symptoms.

Props are incorporated to create the most physically comfortable space for your body, so your mind can drop into presence. Do not be ashamed to bring your own pillows and blankie! It can be beneficial to support yourself with familiarity and being physically comfortable for this class is prime. If you struggle with slowing down, please commit to at least 3 attempts. Some of us are so strung-out on the adrenaline of day-to-day life, it can take a few tries.

Sound healing with different modalities is included to support the restful atmosphere.

This class is appropriate for all levels. please be available to stay the entire class, we cannot allow for early exit due to the nature of the practice.

  • Yin/Restore and Sound Healing

Yin/Restore is a style of physical yoga that returns you to a slower, stiller aspect of posture by allowing your body to be held in shapes for 2-10 minutes.

Yin practice intends to increase muscle length and fascial "release"; incurs a strong influence of Chinese Medicine and Yin poses may be QUITE demanding in the way of body and mind discomfort/patience as you venture towards limitation in both through what may seem deceptively “simple”.

Restorative poses focus more on inviting your body into a position of ease, the usage of props for support, and down-regulating the nervous system. A chance to be gently opened to more space in body-mind-spirit. Both increase mobility, flexibility and offer the space to chillax. The inclusion of sound healing methods enhance the positive release effects on the nervous system and potency of the experience. Aka: you need this.

  • Reiki Restore Meditation

Reiki is a healing art to restore physical, mental, emotional and subtle energies. Meditation and restorative yoga has the same intention. Landing them together creates space for healing at the level that the student is ready to receive. This practice is available to all levels and welcomes you into meditation in an approachable way.

  • Heart of Yoga

The Heart of Yoga practice is a calming exploration into an embodied, ease inspired yoga practice with direct transmission from the Grandfather of Postural Yoga, Krishnamachrya and his living student Mark Whitwell.

In this practice, the breath initiates the movement of the body creating peak physiological operation while calming the central nervous system. We flow through selected asana (postures) that most any "body" can readily discover and then build strength by savoring the pose with a focused breath.

Time for rest and reflection will be offered throughout the class for in this space we become receptive to our natural state and understand that our body has the divine intelligence to operate without interference. The transformational practice will spark you up and sooth your soul so that you feel integrated and at peace. This practice serves both new and advanced Yogis equally!

  • Forrest Yoga (Warm)
